Your app icon is an important part of your app since it will be displayed along with the rest of the apps on your customer’s mobile devices. Each platform has slightly different requirements.
Google Play icon requirements
The icon must have a size of 512 pixels by 512 pixels and it should be placed on a squared canvas with NO transparency. You do not need to figure out the rounding of the icon since the device will do it automatically.
Just make sure there is enough room on the canvas so your image is not cut by the rounding effect.
Here is a sample of how to place your image inside the square canvas of your icon
Once your icon is ready you can upload it by going to Settings -> Basic Data -> Launch Icons

Apple iOS icon requirements
The icon must have a size of 1024 pixels by 1024 pixels and it should be placed on a squared canvas with NO transparency. You do not need to figure out the rounding of the icon since the device will do it automatically.
